Honor Your Alumnae!

Don't Know Much Bout Chapter History: The Shield of our founding sorority: Sigma Delta Upsilon (SDU). Created by Karen Rabibiero #7 of the Beta Class. It shows a Big Sister's hand handing our flower the white rose, to the Little Sister. This scene symbolizes the constant growth of the original ideas of SDU. The orignal ideads of which the sorority were founded:

S stands for Service: to the community, the college & ourselves.

D stands for Dignity: shows honor, pride & self worth.

U stands for Unity: our eternal state of unification.

SDU is a combination of odeas that work together as one.

The shield displays our flower: the white rose which represents the beauty, honesty & uniqueness found in each member. It also signifies class & rare beauty that combines in a new & unique friendship of sisterhood.

The shield also shows our geometric symbol: 2 circles interlocking within a larger circle. This symbolizes unity within ourselevs, with other Greeks & the community. The current shield in the Student Center was made by Founder Renee M. (#19). It utiizes an oustanding 3D (three dimensional) design. This groundbreaking technique has been mimiced by other organizations. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery!
